15 Skincare Products I’ve Used Since Early 2025. Which Ones Are Really Worth It? | Pros & Cons Review |
1. Wardah Nature Daily Mineral+ Clarifying Clay Mask, Affordable Clay Mask for Blackheads & Smooth Skin!
![]() |
1. Wardah - Nature Daily Mineral+ Clarifying Clay Mask |
This local clay mask is my go-to for clearing blackheads and giving my skin a mini reset whenever it feels rough or textured. After using this, skincare goes on so much smoother and the skin feels noticeably more plump and bouncy.
It has a thick, dark gray clay texture that spreads easily and dries into a solid layer, don’t worry though, it doesn't make your skin stiff or hard to move like some other clay masks. You can still talk comfortably while wearing it! Rinsing it off takes a bit of effort, but nothing too crazy, just massage it gently to lift the clay off completely. Scent-wise? I can’t quite place it, but it has a soft, powdery fragrance.
What’s inside? The mask is powered by kaolin and bentonite clay to detox the skin from dirt, oil, and pollution, plus CarboActiv (charcoal) to magnetically pull out gunk from pores. It also helps absorb excess oil without drying your skin, making it perfect for oily skin types. Recommended use: 1–2x per week, though I just use it whenever I remember.
Price: Around IDR 15,000 (60ml), super budget-friendly! Buy on Shopee: click here
Psst, I also made a YouTube video about it if you're curious!
Pros: Cheap, long-lasting, comes in a tube, and doesn’t dry out easily in storage. Cons: None so far!
2. Perfect White Red Peeling Whitening Serum, Gentle Glow-Up in Just 1 Minute!
![]() |
2. Peeling Serum Perfect White - Red Peeling Whitening Serum |
Throwback to my first peeling serum from The Ordinary, guuurrls, it stung! Thankfully, more local brands are making gentler versions now, like this one from Perfect White.
Their Red Peeling Whitening Serum (BPOM NA18230117431) is so beginner-friendly. It doesn’t sting at all, even on inflamed acne (not open wounds, of course). Just a heads-up: everyone’s skin tolerance is different, so patch test first!
What makes it unique? You only need to leave it on for 1 minute, seriously! No overnight peeling serum here. Treat it like a mask: apply, wait 60 seconds, rinse off. Don’t fall asleep with it on (learned the hard way lol). Once, I forgot to rinse and woke up with dry, rough skin on my chin. Texture-wise, it's like a runny, jelly-like serum, fun to apply! Apply after cleansing, 2–3 times a week (not before).
This exfoliating serum helps regenerate skin by lifting away dead cells with AHA, BHA, PHA, plus Niacinamide and Kojic Acid Dipalmitate for brightening and hydration. After rinsing, skin feels super smooth. With regular use, blackheads and clogged pores noticeably reduce. I even noticed that my sheet mask works better afterward, like the gunk just lifts out easily!
Price: IDR 87,000 (50ml), buy on Shopee: click here.
Pros: Gentle yet effective, makes skin feel smoother and plumper. Cons: Honestly, none for me!
3. coxir Ultra Hyaluronic Cleansing Oil, Melts Off Dirt & Blackheads Without a Greasy After-Feel
![]() |
3. Cleanser coxir - Ultra Hyaluronic Cleansing Oil |
If you’re lazy like me and hate using cotton pads, this cleansing oil will be your new BFF. Just pump it on your hands, massage into dry skin, and rinse, done~
The texture is light, non-sticky, and almost scentless. It turns milky when mixed with water, which is super satisfying to watch! I love using it to massage out blackheads, so satisfying. It also removes most makeup (around 95% of waterproof makeup), but for stubborn eyeliner or lipstick, you might need a second round. And yes, it’s safe for lips and eyelids too, great for removing eye makeup gently without the irritation of cotton.
Does it leave an oily residue? Nope! Your skin just feels soft, hydrated, and a little dewy afterward. Even though it's an oil, there's no sticky or greasy aftermath. Is it safe for acne-prone skin? Totally! I have acne-prone skin and this has been perfectly fine for me. It’s suitable for dry, oily, sensitive, dehydrated, and acne-prone skin types.
The formula includes Hyaluronic Acid for hydration and a blend of 19 plant extracts + 10% natural oil complex to gently cleanse while nourishing the skin.
Price: $17.99, buy on Amazon: click here.
Pros: Lightweight, doesn’t clog pores, removes blackheads and comes in a mini version too! Cons: Might need 2x cleanse for full waterproof makeup removal.
4. Facial Wash Review: Wardah Hydra Rose Gel to Foam Cleanser
![]() |
4. Facial Wash Wardah - Hydra Rose Gel To Foam Cleanser |
If you’re looking for a hydrating cleanser that leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth, Wardah’s Hydra Rose Gel to Foam Cleanser is worth checking out. Part of Wardah’s ultra-moisturizing Hydra Rose series, this cleanser has a gel texture that lathers into a soft foam, perfect for that silky-smooth finish.
It contains 72 Hours Hydrating Active to keep your skin moisturized, plus Rose Oil to calm and protect the skin. It cleans off dirt, oil, and makeup without leaving that tight, dry feeling. Yet, it doesn’t do a great job at removing oil in tricky areas like around the nose. It works well on all skin types, even when I was breaking out a few months ago, this was gentle enough to use daily with no irritation.
Price: Rp36,000 (100ml), buy on Shopee: click here.
Pros: super soft texture, gentle foam, leaves skin feeling velvety smooth, and safe for my acne-prone skin. Cons: doesn’t lift oil well from creases (like around the nose).
5. Best Affordable Face Wash for Acne: La Personal Acne Face Wash
5. Facial wash La Personal - Acne Face Wash |
I’ve been using this one on and off for months, and I have to say that La Personal’s Acne Face Wash is a hidden gem for acne-prone skin! It’s super gentle, doesn’t sting even on inflamed breakouts, and has a slight cooling sensation that feels refreshing on first use. The texture is thick and creamy with a silky look. The foam is rich but soft. It effectively removes excess oil, although you might need a double cleanse around the nose if you’ve got oily skin like mine.
It packed with Centella Asiatica to soothe sensitive, acne-prone skin and Witch Hazel Extract to reduce inflammation and smooth your skin. It’s a solid combo for calming down angry breakouts.
Price: Around Rp27,000 (100gr). Check for discounts on their official Shopee store: click here
Pros: gentle and non-irritating, soothes acne and inflammation, big size and budget-friendly. Cons: none so far!
6. Game-Changer Toner: the SKIN HOUSE Pore Control Powder Toner
![]() |
6. Toner the SKIN HOUSE - Pore Control Powder Toner |
This toner stands out from the usual ones, it works even better as a CSM (Chizu Saeki Method) toner thanks to its super lightweight, watery texture. And those tiny white particles floating inside? That’s the mattifying powder that leaves your skin feeling fresh and shine-free, without any oily residue. What I love about this dual-formula toner is how it blends a soothing liquid base with oil-absorbing powder. If you have oily skin, this is a game-changer. It helps tighten pores and keeps your face looking matte all day long.
This toner uses Tea Tree and Green Tea to calm and balance oil, Silica to mattify the skin, and Witch Hazel to refine pores. Plus, it’s cruelty-free and paraben-free.
Price: $21 (130ml), available on the SKIN HOUSE website, it's also on Amazon but currently sold out.
Pros: ultra-light, watery texture, absorbs fast, controls oil and shine. Cons: hard to find in Indonesia.
7. Toner That Feels Like a Drink of Water for My Skin: Klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Toner
![]() |
7. Toner Klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Toner |
This toner is one of my skincare go-tos, especially when my skin feels thirsty or rough after exfoliating. What I love most? The thick, essence-like texture that deeply hydrates without feeling sticky. It absorbs fast and leaves my skin feeling plump, soft, and bouncy. Use it morning and night, works sooo good after exfoliating, and layer it up on drier areas for best results.
The formula is pH-balanced (around 4.5–5.5), which matches your skin’s natural pH level, super important for protecting your skin barrier, reducing irritation, and preventing breakouts. Plus, no essential oils here, so it’s safe for sensitive skin.
It contains Sodium Hyaluronate for deep hydration, Beta-Glucan to soothe and repair the skin barrier, and Centella Asiatica to calm irritation. Whether your skin is dry, oily, sensitive, or acne-prone like mine, this toner just works. It keeps your skin hydrated without greasiness, and nope, it doesn’t feel sticky even if your skin leans oily.
Price: Rp229,100 (180ml), available on shopee: buy here
Pros: super hydrating, non-sticky, safe for acne-prone skin. Cons: honestly, none.
8. The All-in-One Skincare You’ll Never Want to Run Out Of: the SKIN HOUSE - Rice Active Essence Cleansing Water
![]() |
8. Essence the SKIN HOUSE - Rice Active Essence Cleansing Water |
You know when you fall in love with a product so hard, you start rationing it so it won’t run out? That’s exactly how I feel about this one. From the very first use, it left my skin baby-smooth, plump, and healthy-looking with a dewy glow.
Despite being called a “cleansing water,” this magic bottle does triple duty as a cleanser, toner, and essence, perfect for lazy skincare days or traveling light. It removes waterproof makeup effortlessly (no rinsing needed) and still manages to hydrate deeply. I mostly use it as an essence, though it totally works solo for those skip-care nights.
The formula contains visible rice extract (shake it up before use!) which naturally exfoliates while leaving your skin silky-smooth. It’s super gentle, fragrance-free, and perfect for sensitive skin. The milky texture feels fresh and soothing.
It contains Brown Rice Bran (brightens and boosts skin cell turnover), Panthenol (hydrates and improves elasticity), and Castor Oil: softens and helps lock in moisture. This milky, lightweight, and silky formula is perfect for dry, dehydrated, normal, and combo skin. And it’s cruelty-free, free from sulfates, alcohol, and parabens.
Price: $17 (150ml), available on Amazon
Pros: multi-tasker, leaves skin glowing and smooth, removes makeup well. Cons: Not the best packaging for travel, might leak if tipped over.
9. A Brightening Serum That Surprised Me (In a Good Way): Gmeelan - Glabridin Astaxanthin Brightening Serum
![]() |
9. Serum Gmeelan - Glabridin Astaxanthin Brightening Serum |
Not gonna lie, I didn’t expect much from this serum at first, it’s labeled as a brightening serum, and let’s be real, there are tons of those out there. But then, this stuff exceeded my expectations. I had breakouts and dull skin when I started using it, and I only expected some acne scars to fade. But after a few weeks, even the acne was fading fast. Like… what?!
I’ve been loving the effects of this skincare because of its standout ingredients. The Glabridin, which comes from licorice extract, really helps brighten my skin by fading dark spots and evening out my skin tone. I've noticed a more radiant complexion since I started using it. Plus, the Astaxanthin, a strong antioxidant sourced from marine life like salmon and krill, gives my skin an extra boost by fighting inflammation and keeping signs of aging at bay. It feels like a smart, science-backed combo that’s gentle yet effective for my daily routine.
My routine at the time was super simple, just a hydrating cleanser, this serum, and a clay mask now and then. And honestly? That simplicity helped me see how effective this serum really is. It doesn’t just brighten, it actively calms breakouts and gives your skin a more even, healthy glow.
This product is great for reducing acne marks, brightening dull skin, and fighting early signs of aging, all while feeling lightweight and non-greasy, making it easy to layer under other skincare.
Price: Rp152.000 (30ml), buy on Shopee: https://s.shopee.co.id/2LM2fjdAOP
Pros: fades spots and calms breakouts, lightweight, doesn’t irritate. Cons: not super hyped yet, definitely deserves more love.
10. SBC Skin Hydrating Treatment Bakuchiol Vita C Essence, Lightweight & Super Hydrating!
![]() |
10. Serum SBC Skin - Hydrating Treatment Bakuchiol Vita C Essence |
I've only used this serum a few times so far, but let me tell you, I love the texture! It’s super lightweight yet gives intense hydration. This all-in-one serum helps lock in moisture, protect your skin barrier, reduce fine lines, prevent breakouts, and calm irritation. Yep, it basically does it all! I’ll definitely share more updates once I’ve used it longer. BPOM: NA18212000577
This serum contains effective ingredients that work well together. Glycerin provides strong hydration, and Bakuchiol helps boost collagen as a gentle alternative to retinol. Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is a stable form of Vitamin C that brightens skin and fights aging without losing its strength. Ceramide NP supports the skin barrier and protects against bacteria, while Tripeptide-5 helps firm the skin. Centella Asiatica soothes and hydrates, and Hyaluronic Acid keeps the skin moisturized and smooth. The texture remains consistent and hasn’t changed color, thanks to the stable Vitamin C in the formula.
Price: Rp89.175 (30ml), available on Shopee: buy here.
Pros: skin feels incredibly hydrated like cushiony soft. Cons: nothing to complain about (yet).
11. Scarlett Aqua Reset & Barrier Acne Peace Gel Moisturizer, Refreshing & Acne-Friendly!
![]() |
11. Moisturizer Scarlett - Aqua Reset & Barrier Acne Peace Gel Moisturizer |
This moisturizer from Scarlett’s Aqua Reset line is perfect if you’ve got dry skin and acne at the same time (a tricky combo, I know hihi). The gel texture is light, quick-absorbing, and gives a cooling effect that feels sooo nice, although the minty sensation comes and goes.
One thing I noticed: the texture slightly changed throughout the jar, starting thick, then a bit runny mid-use, and thick again towards the end. Might just be due to storage, inconsistent usage, or maybe it’s just me. It is super refreshing on my skin, hydrates well, calms breakouts, and doesn’t sting at all even on active pimples. I usually apply 2–3 layers at night, and my skin wakes up soft and smooth.
This product combines several effective ingredients to tackle acne without harshness. Heartleaf offers antibacterial benefits and helps soothe any acne-related irritation. The encapsulated Salicylic Acid provides a gentle, slow-release treatment to clear pores over time. Witch Hazel Extract works to control excess oil and keeps the skin feeling fresh, while Tea Tree Water and Oil actively fight acne-causing bacteria. Overall, it’s a balanced formula designed to manage acne while calming and refreshing the skin.
Price: Rp62.300, available on Shopee: buy here.
Pros: absorbs quickly, deeply hydrating, helps calm breakouts. Cons: nothing major to note.
12. Deep Hydration Moisturizer: the SKIN HOUSE - Marine Active Cream
![]() |
12. Moisturizer the SKIN HOUSE - Marine Active Cream |
Since my Scarlett moisturizer ran out a month ago, I’ve been using a new one more consistently. I’ve also gotten back on track with my skincare routine (yay for skincare redemption arcs!). My skin’s no longer as dehydrated, and this slightly thicker moisturizer works great, leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, and a bit silky.
Even with a couple of breakouts on my chin, this moisturizer doesn’t irritate them. I do pair it with an acne serum just in case. Though made for all skin types, it's especially good for dry or dehydrated skin.
I’ve really noticed a difference since using this product, it has a great blend of Deep Sea Water, Pearl Extract, Spirulina, and Seaweed that gives my skin a natural, healthy glow. It keeps my skin feeling plump and dewy all day without feeling heavy. The combination of Hyaluronic Acid, Squalane, and Betaine does a great job locking in moisture and strengthening my skin’s barrier. Plus, I appreciate that it’s fragrance-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free, so I feel good about using it every day.
Price: $25 (50ml), available at Skin House Mall.
Pros: leaves skin hydrated, silky, smooth, and breakout-safe. Cons: hard to find in Indonesia.
13. coxir Black Snail Collagen All-In-One Eye Cream
![]() |
13. Eye Cream coxir - Black Snail Collagen All In One Eye Cream |
This isn’t your typical eye cream. The coxir Black Snail Collagen All-In-One Eye Cream can be used around the eyes, on your face, and even your neck. I don’t use it every day, so I didn’t notice drastic changes, but one thing’s for sure but I haven’t seen my fine lines getting worse. My skin feels noticeably more hydrated and silky smooth after using it.
I usually apply it under the eyes, on my eyelids, and at the outer corners. The texture is thick and gooey, classic snail mucin vibes, so a little goes a long way. Just avoid getting it too close to your eyes, because it stings like crazy if it gets in hehe.
As the name suggests, it’s powered by snail mucin, which helps repair damaged skin, supports healing, and protects your skin barrier. Don’t worry, no snails were harmed in the process! It also contains Triple Black Foods (black rice, black bean, and black sesame) loaded with anthocyanins, known to help fight UV damage and keep your skin from drying out. Bonus: It has collagen to improve elasticity and plump up sagging skin.
Sticky or nah? It feels sticky at first, but once it absorbs, your skin’s left smooth and non-greasy. It is best for oily to normal skin types. If you have dry skin, prep your skin with something more hydrating first.
Price: $19 (30ml), available on Amazon.
Pros: moisturizing, silky finish. Cons: can sting if it gets in the eyes, hard to find in Indonesia.
14. Heimish Artless Glow Base SPF50+ PA+++, The Glow-Boosting Korean Sunscreen That Doubles as a Primer!
![]() |
14. Sunscreen Heimish - Artless Glow Base SPF 50+ PA+++ |
Been using this since last year and still obsessed! I’ve been rationing it because the Heimish Artless Glow Base gives the prettiest glow, not the oily kind, but a fresh, dewy finish that makes your skin look naturally healthy. The texture is super lightweight with subtle shimmer (you can spot it on your hands, not on your face). Maybe that’s what gives that radiant vibe?
One of the best parts? It works as a makeup primer too. The satin finish makes your skin look plump and glowy, and yeah I do feel prettier when I catch myself in the mirror hahaha. Any pilling? Nope! Perfect under makeup. Whitecast? None at all.
Price: $19.80 (40ml), available on Heimish official website
Pros: doubles as a primer, glowy satin finish, skin feels fresh and hydrated. Cons: literally none so far.
15. Some By Mi Yuja Niacin Anti-Blemish Sheet Mask
![]() |
15. Sheetmask Some by Mi - Yuja Niacin Anti Blemish Daily Mask |
Okay, so I’ve used 24 sheets of the Some by Mi Yuja Niacin Daily Mask and I wasn’t expecting much at first. I just wanted something to hydrate and calm my skin. But when I compared my before-and-after photos, I was shook! Turns out all that masking actually made a difference.
![]() |
Some by Mi - Yuja Niacin Anti Blemish Daily Mask |
I didn’t use one every day (was planning to do a 30-day challenge but... laziness won after week one). Took me over 2 months to finish the 24 sheets. The sheet itself is super soft and fits well on the face, though the sides of my nose are always hard to cover. The essence is rich but not drippy, which I love.
I’ve been using this product for a while, and I really like how it’s packed with ingredients that actually brighten and calm my skin. The niacinamide helps even out my skin tone and fade dark spots and acne scars, which I’ve been struggling with. The yuja extract feels soothing, especially when my skin is acting up, and I’ve noticed less pigmentation overall. Plus, the Mela Code really seems to target melanin, making my skin look visibly brighter over time.
Price: Rp240.000 (box of 30 masks), available on Shopee.
Pros: soft texture, visible brightening in just 2 weeks. Cons: none!
So, What’s Worth It?
It depends on your skin needs, but here’s my personal take:
- Eye Cream (Coxir): Great for multitasking, especially if you’re into repairing and hydrating.
- Glow Base (Heimish): If you want that healthy glow + primer in one
- Sheet Mask (Some by Mi): Ideal for dull or blemish-prone skin. Use consistently and you’ll see results!
Tried any of the skincare products above? Which one do you think is the most worth it?
