Forget that mirrorless camera, latest iPhone, cozy studio, microphone, tripod, lighting, and a bunch of other tools you see on the internet that beauty content creators use to produce their content. I am sure you can launch a great video using those tools, but when you are just starting or a newbie, you do not have to confuse and overthink that. You can start small.

When I started my beauty blog, I only needed two things: my beauty products that I have in my bedroom and my smartphone. That's all.

Easiest and Free Way to Start A Beauty Content. No Need to Stress, Have Fun!

1. Beauty Products

Start with what you have. You can start with your favourite facial wash, your most-used lip cream, or anything that gives you sparks for producing content. We need to remember that we do not have to buy a lot of makeup or expensive skincare products to start making content. But if you want to buy them, buy them.

2. Smartphone

I used my Android smartphone, the Oppo F7, when I started my content in 2020.

I took photos in the morning using natural lighting (sunlight) in front of my house with very minimal photography property: unused clothes. Or you can even use no property at all; just go to beautiful plants and use them as background. The point here is not how much property or how great gear you have, but how wonderful the skill you have. So, the next time you decide to buy a camera and artificial lighting and it already meets your skill, boom! Such a perfect collaboration.
